Data Quality

Promoting data quality: A rigorous analysis of the quality of data is fundamental to all statistical work, and has been a key feature of statistics since its creation. Today, the extraordinary variety of data - from administrative and survey data to high frequency transactional and private sector data - increase the importance of determining the suitability of data for statistical purposes and for the production of official statistical series. ICSP supports this work in the agencies and through our sponsorship (with OMB) of the Federal Committee on Statistical Methodology (FCSM).
